What’s New in FoCal 5.1

FoCal 5.1 brings the following improvements:

Improved image analysis speed by approximately 6 times
Improved image analysis for Live View control
Fixes and reliability improvements to Calibration Check, especially with mirrorless cameras
Modernisation of full user interface
Fixed a rare bug where MultiTest could crash
Fixed issue which could cause stall when updating database on startup
Fixed an issue where some score comparisons used the wrong focal length
Security updates in third-party libraries
Core framework updates for improved reliability, security and performance

License Requirements

FoCal 5.1 is available to all users with an active Included Updates Period as of 15th May 2026.
